The Horned Helmet Pattern is suitable for advanced beginners and intermediate knitters.
It is worked by knitting four panels, two sides, one front, and one back, sewing them together, felting the piece in the washing machine and lastly shaping and drying it.
~ Sizes
SIZE 1 - 54 - 58 head circumference
SIZE 2 - 59 - 63 head circumference
~ Required techniques:
Long tail cast on, bind off knit-wise, bind off purl-wise, knit, purl, increasing, decreasing, picking up stitches, mattress stitch, kitchener stitch.
~ Yarn Tested
Drops Snow (50g = 50m)
World of Wool Big Bang (100g = 65m)
~ Gauge
11 stitches x 15 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches in stockinette stitch on 8mm [US 11] needles before felting
